Unit 2 Narratives

Today I learned unit 2:"Narratives" and learn purpose of the narrative is the entertain to gain and hold the reader’s interest in a story but narrative may also seek to teach or inform, to embody  the writer’s reflections on experience, and perhaps most important t to nourish and extend the reader’s imagination. She explained types, text organization and language features of the narrative. She told students to read the first part of the story. After that, we summarized of the first part by group work. My friend presented work at front of the class. She told students to read second part of the story and put these sentence in the right order to produce a summary of the second part of the story. Finally, I felt very fun because activity interesting and I liked this teaching.

Unit 1 Recount

I learned “Recount” continued from last week. Teacher told student to read the text and answer the question that following in the exercise 3 about “An Excursion to the Botanic Gardens”.After we made worksheet by choose the correct answer for the following question. After that we made worksheet in the exercise 4 when we made finish. She assigned work by segmenting. We wrote about trip to the Chiang Mai. After my friend presented work at front of the class. Teacher told students to wrote feeling when us were child. Next she told students to looked sheet about Narratives. Soon after she told us to read the text on the PowerPoint and imagine. Finally I felt very fun because joined activity which it was not boring. I liked this teaching.

Unit 1 Recount

Today I learned unit 1:“Recount”. Teacher has opened YouTube for students to watch Hockey sportNext, she explained about genres text include recount. she explained about genres of text include recount. Recount comprising purpose, types, text organisation and language feature. In a recount we reconstruct past experience. A recount is the unfolding of a sequence of events over time. We are using language to keep the past alive and help us to interpret experience. She told students to looked at the power point along with explained.




She told students to do exercise after explained .She told students to watched the YouTube about Funeral in Toraja which it was ceremony and slaughtered the pig and buffaloes. It very poor. Finally, she assigned homework include exercise 3 and 4. The problem was we did not know meaning of word because we must diligent. I enjoyed with learner.

A Discourse Approach in Reading

The first day of course A Discourse Approach in Reading with Dr.Usa Noytim. Dr.Usa said about Teaching Evaluation of course Writing fir Communication. She told  the student evaluate of teaching does not match reality, but I gave full score to her.
Then she talked about course outline of  A Discourse Approach in Reading. In this course have 10 lesson, take classes 15 weeks. And she talked rules of dress and writing weblog. She assigned to us do the exercise about genres of text. I think this course is difficult. But from study of today, I enjoyed and not worried about it. If it is difficult, I will try to fight it.
